Andover Borough covers just one square mile and is filled with older homes, including many quaint Victorian homes. Rt. 206 bisects the Borough and several antique shops are found on both sides of the road. The beautiful pond above is home to nesting swans in the spring.
Andover Township, on the other hand, covers over 21 square miles and has luxury homes of both new and older construction, year-round lake homes, condominiums, and a variety of others in all price ranges. Much of Andover is convenient to Rt. 206 which leads to Rt. 80 for commuting purposes.
KIttatinny Valley State Park, which comprises 1700 acres, is the newest of New Jersey's state parks. Along with hiking, trails such as the Sussex Branch Trail also permit cross-country skiing (especially good this past winter), mountain biking, horseback riding, and dogsledding.
