  A special feature of Frankford is the Sussex County Fair Grounds, home of the New Jersey State Fair. This is a true "country fair" - that's right - in the State of New Jersey. 

  Built new for 2009 is the Sussex County Farmers Market, located as you enter the Sussex County Fair Grounds. Only Sussex County farmers are participating and all products are either Sussex County grown or Jersey Fresh. Not only fresh fruits & vegetables, but also available are fresh cut flowers, dried flowers, eggs, honey, goat milk soap, jams, jellies, local meat, and cheese. Open Saturdays through November, you'll want to make this a regular stop.

  The Sussex Skyhawks of the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball have very recently come to Frankford. Ticket prices are reasonable, and the ballfield is a great place to take the family.  Here's a distant view of the ballpark from a nearby county road. 

  Culvers Lake in Frankford has year-round lake homes in a membership lake community. It is created by Culvers Lake Dam on Culvers Creek and is used for recreation purposes. At normal levels it has a surface area of 585 acres. Fishing is excellent here all year 'round, so people tell me. 

  There is also a 9 hole golf course and country club that runs along Culvers Lake. Lots of recreation in this community!
