Vernon covers approximately 67 square miles, making it one of the largest townships in area in Sussex County.  It bills itself as a year-round recreational area with many winter activities such as skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing, as well as mountain biking, hiking, and water park activities in the warmer weather. To drive by the slopes and see the snow making equipment in operation is a truly beautiful sight.  At night the ski slopes are lit by hundreds of lights making for a wonderland for those lucky enough to have views of the area.  For links to the area, please visit my Community Links page so that you can see for yourself.

It's now spring, and there are more than 215 properties available on the market in Vernon. One of the least expensive is a one bedroom one bath townhome which is listed as an investment property for short term rentals. It's priced at $109,900.  Median priced is a three bedroom 2-1/2 bath contemporary with views of the ski slopes on the market for $429,000. Literally at the top of the market both in location and price is a 1990 custom home with views of the ski slopes and High Point Monument (the highest spot in New Jersey.) Sounds like a very special home and is listed by Century 21. The price of this beauty is $1,450,000.
